Making the Arts accessible for all

NZ Festival of the Arts this year is offering a programme of touch tours, audio described performances and events for deaf and hard of hearing audiences in a push to make the Arts more accessible for all.

But how do you make a show more accessible? and why is it so important?

In this video Eva Radich speaks to Emma Deakin, the festival's Accessibility, Community & Education manager; Alexandra Carr the deaf consultant for the play 'The brief and frightening reign of Phil' where Thornton Peck and Shosh Cleary are (NZSL) sign language interpreters.
