Effects of tourist down turn due to virus taking its toll

The flow-on effects of the corona virus, Covid-19 is starting to become far-reaching with the number of international visitors falling off. It started with a ban on tourists from China and then self quarantining of people arriving here from certain places, such as South Korea and Iran. This coupled with a growing general reluctance from people travelling overseas and to far-flung places like New Zealand. And it's starting to take its toll on tourist destinations like Rotorua. Nick Fitzgerald from the Rotorua Motel Association told our reporter, Andrew McRae, that the downturn in visitor numbers isn't restricted to the Chinese.
