The cost of treating Whakaari victims continues to rise

The cost of treating burns victims from last year's Whakaari/White Island tragedy continues to rise with Counties Manukau Health revealing its response alone has cost more than two million dollars to date. 47 people were on the island at the time of the December 9 explosion, 21 died but many others suffered severe or critical burns. Nick Truebridge is our South Auckland Local Democracy Reporter who has been working on the story and he joins me now in studio.
