Huawei allowed to roll-out 5G in UK despite US objections

The British Government is set to allow Chinese tech giant Huawei to participate in the roll-out of super-fast 5G mobile networks - despite last minute pressure from the US. The Trump administration had dispatched Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to try to convince Prime Minister Boris Johnson to continue the ban. Only yesterday, Mr Pompeo warned that Britain risked its sovereignty by allowing Huawei to help develop its 5G infrastructure.
