Green's disappointed by Labour's non-action on rodeos
The Green's say Labour's failure to deliver on its promise to ban aspects of rodeo is 'incredibly disappointing'. A graphic video from 2018 shows a bull snapping its left hind leg while bucking and spinning, caused by flank straps and a practice that's called 'ambushing.' Prior to the 2017 election, Labour promised to ban flank straps, as well as electric prods and other actions used in rodeo. Green Party animal welfare spokesperson Gareth Hughes tells Ben Strang the inaction from the government isn't good enough.
