Australian firefighters won't be home for Christmas in NSW
Thousands of firefighters in New South Wales likely won't be home for Christmas as they continue to battle 87 large scale blazes. The fires have now ripped through more than 2-million hectares of land in the state and with the hottest months yet to come, it's set to get worse. Shane Fitzsimmons, who is the New South Wales Fire Rural Fire Service Comissioner says the fires have been unprecedented. He says firefighters have been working around the clock in the most challenging conditions imaginable. Mr Fitzsimmons updated our producer Katie Doyle with the latest information.
