Cannabis campaigner will educate for Yes vote in referendum

'Lives will be changed' That's how a cannabis campaigner has reacted to news that people could be able to grow up to four cannabis plants per household, should New Zealanders vote yes in the cannabis referendum next year. Yesterday, the government revealed the public will be asked a simple yes no question and published the draft legislation - which says people will be able to buy 14 grams a day, will only be able to buy it in licenced premises and consume it either there or at home. Rose Renton has led the campaign for medicinal cannabis after illegally giving it to her teenage son Alex in hospital to relieve his seizures before he died in 2015. She told First Up's Lydia Batham she's preparing to educate people for a 'yes vote'.
