"Australia is on fire" Teen's call for action goes viral

"Australia is on fire. The federal government must take urgent action on climate change....Scott Morrison must realise that doing nothing is not an option any longer." Those are the words of an 18-year-old, year 12 student from Nymboida near Grafton, who lost her home in the devastating bushfires that have burned through New South Wales over the few weeks. Shiann Broderick's call for action appeared in the Sydney Morning Herald - and was shared far and wide. She told First Up's Jeremy Parkinson about the day her family left their home for the last time.
