Property managers unhappy with proposal for no-cause evictions

Property managers are unhappy with the Government's proposal to end "no-cause evictions" It's among a suite of changes announced by the Associate Housing Minister, Kris Faafoi, to overhaul rental laws. Under the new regime, if a landlord wants to evict a tenant for bad behaviour, they'll first have to apply to the Tenancy Tribunal with three examples justifying the eviction. The Property Managers' Institute's president David Pearse told our deputy political reporter Craig McCulloch that this change is unnecessary.
