Simon Bridges: "no jab, no pay" Policy

From First Up, 5:42 am on 31 October 2019

The Opposition has reignited the debate over "no jab, no pay" - with National's leader Simon Bridges throwing his support behind such a policy. The party yesterday issued a discussion document on social welfare, asking for its supporters' views on various topics. One question it posed was whether solo parents should be required to vaccinate their children. And Mr Bridges was crystal clear in his position. But Helen Petousis-Harris - a vaccinologist at Auckland University - is less enthusaistic about the proposal. She spoke to our deputy political editor Craig McCulloch last night.
