Pharmac funding boost brings tears of joy to cancer patient

The government's announcement of its plan to tackle cancer including the extra funding to Pharamac, has brought hope to many. For one woman, the news left her in tears, as she stood watching her daughter play football. Elisa Wijohn has advanced breast cancer and had just seen that the government's boost to Pharmac meant the life extending drug, Ibrince, could be funded by April next year. She first shared her story with us as part of our Life or Death Under Pharmac series earlier this year, so Indira spoke to her last night to see what this news means to her.
