Patient Voice Aotearoa cautious about new Cancer Agency

If you've just joined us, the government's plan to tackle cancer will see the establishment of a Cancer control agency and an extra 60 million dollars towards medication. It comes after strong criticism on the government's lack of action towards cancer and a petition signed by more than 140,000 New Zealanders calling for an independent cancer agency. The plan includes an end to so-called "postcode lottery care" and stronger prevention for Cancer. Pharmac has said it will now be able to fund a range of new medicines, including several new cancer treatments. Malcolm Mulholland from Patient Voice Aotearoa joins me now,
