Braveheart the Albatross is enjoying his Swimming Pool

There are hopes a white-capped albatross found being tossed around in the surf of a Timaru beach will make a full recovery. Last week we spoke to Zena Guthrie who initially took in the Mollymawk before arranging for it to be transferred to The Wildlife Hospital in Dunedin. There were concerns the bird had lost its waterproofing, which would stop it from being released into the wild again. After, a number of you got in touch wanting to see how the bird was doing, today we can provide an update. Our producer Lydia Batham spoke with intern vet Dr Lizzie Thomas, who's one of the team caring for the bird at The Wildlife Hospital.
