Blackforest pie wins Gold at Supreme Pie Awards

The best pies in the land have been decided - and a mince and cheese pie from Gold Star Patrick Pies in Tauranga has taken home the supreme title. Gold, Silver, Bronze and highly commended are awarded to a variety of pies - from mince and gravy, bacon and egg, to vegetarian. The Gourmet Fruit gold award went to a Blackforest pie made by Caleb Kloeg, from the Ten O'Clock Cookie Bakery cafe in Masterton.
