"We've had enough" Hikoi coordinators prepare to march before parliament
A nationwide hikoi - or march - calling for change at Oranga Tamariki will take place today - as the group 'Hands off our Tamariki' delivers an open letter to parliament. They're rallying against what they say is the unfair removal of Maori children from their whanau by the Ministry for Children. Protests will take place across Aotearoa, but the main event in Wellington will march on parliament early this afternoon. Maria Wihongi is one of the Co-ordinators from Kaikohe and along with many others this morning, she's travelling down to the capital for the Hikoi.
