Comprehensive driver training not included in Road to Zero plan

A motor sport legend says the government's failure to include comprehensive driver-training in it's new road safety plan isn't good enough. The government is proposing a new road safety strategy aimed at cutting road deaths by 40-percent in the next decade. The Road to Zero strategy has a suite of new measures including boosting spending on road safety infrastructure. Road safety advocate and four-time Bathurst car race winner Greg Murphy says that's all well and good, but it's what's not in the document that's annoyed him. He told reporter Hamish Cardwell that what's missing is any plan to seriously invest in making New Zealanders safer behind the wheel.
