Shearer Pagan Karauria wins at World Shearing Champs

A 30 year old central Otago woman has taken out a world championship title at the the World Shearing Champs in France. Shearer Pagan Karauria won the All Nations Open wool-handling final last weekend - that was just one of three of the six titles taken out by New Zealand competitors at the World championship. One in 40 shearers in New Zealand is female - that's a fact some of you may not have known, Pagan is the daughter of champion shearer Dion Morell. Pagan Karauria joins Indira from France.
