Laurie, the elderly capuchin monkey recovers after health scare

From First Up, 5:45 am on 28 June 2019

A monkey, who spent much of his early years riding a horse in the circus, is recovering at home after a health scare. Laurie, a capuchin, was rescued along with four other monkeys, by Wellington's animal rescue charity HUHA more than a decade ago. Laurie has suffered much emotional stress during his life and now suffers from alopecia. But in the past few weeks he's suffered rapid weight loss and that had his caregiver Carolyn Press-McKenzie worried. Bridget Burke has the story.
