In a new trend for the dairy milk industry we can expect to see more sheep and goats milk filling our supermarket shelves. Waikato milking systems have built machinery specifically for milking sheep and goats and have already sold to farms in Canada and China. According to product and project manager Andy Geissmann, milking sheep and goats is less harmful for the environment than milking cows. He gave me a demo using a wooden goat.
