Cruise ship crashes in Venice injuring 5 including a NZer

Venetians are calling for a ban on cruise ships after a massive cruise liner rammed into a dock and a tourist river boat injuring at least five tourists including a New Zealander. The MSC Opera cruise ship which is a 13-deck-high vessel holding more than 2600 people had reported engine troubles as they came into port in the Giudecca Canal two days ago. Indira was joined on the phone this morning by New Zealand journalist Annabella Garwood who was in Venice over the weekend.
