The rising costs of eggs

We're now shelling out more than ever for eggs - with a dozen costing four dollars 43 cents. A decade ago, that would have cost around 3 dollars 36. The move from caged eggs to free range, alongside a national egg shortage have been listed as a reason for the price hike. The Executive Director of the Egg Producers Federation of New Zealand, Michael Brooks explains.
