More torrential rain is on the way for storm hit regions already battling to keep roads open due to slips after today's deluges.
Some regions have recorded almost a month's worth of rain in two days as an atmospheric river lingers over the upper North Island.
It's bringing unseasonably warm temperatures and humidity.
