Extra defence personal have been called in and fresh evacuation orders issued for thousands of residents after after several suburbs flooded. Yet more rain is forecast - up to about 10cm more, in the next 24 hours over wide chunks of the regions.
There are concerns the next deluge could trigger flash floods and landslides, with river catchments already near full to capacity.
