Winter is well and truly here. Stormy weather lashed much of the country today, from high winds in Taranaki to snow down south.
MetService reported 20,000 lightning strikes in Western regions in a 24 hour period. And the message for much of the country is to hunker down, with unsettled weather set to hang around.
