Extreme weather: State of emergency in Buller - latest details

A state of emergency has been declared in Buller - because of heavy rain and flooding, in what's been described as a one in 50 year event.

Residents in low lying areas, or those who've had trouble with flooding before have been told to make plans to evacuate, with more rain on the cards for tonight.

Buller District Mayor Jamie Cleine joins Lisa Owen with the latest details.
