A Northland MP is warning that farmers impacted by flooding over the weekend won't be able to survive the next season.
The Civil Defence Minister visited the region to survey the damage and is hopeful the government will announce some sort of support for those farmers.
Dozens of properties have been impacted by flooding which led to the evacuation of five homes.
And Civil Defence is on alert for more rain with concern over septic tank sewage leaks.
