Weather: Southland in State of Emergency as rain continues

A State of Emergency has been extended to include all of Southland as water levels continue to rise and cause major damage.

Dozens of people have already been rescued from tracks in Fiordland after being cut off by torrential rain.

They tell remarkable stories of survival.

RNZ Otago-Southland reporter Timothy Brown has been speaking to those caught up in the emergency.
