Part of Kapiti Coast sea wall has collapsed

Commuters driving home up the Kapiti Coast face lengthy delays tonight, after State Highway 1 between Pukerua Bay and Paekakariki was damaged, leaving just one lane open to traffic. Neil Walker from NZTA says traffic between Wellington and the Kapiti Coast isn't too bad after it started diverting southbound commuters. SH1 was damaged during ex-Cyclone Gita.
