Simon Morris reviews the new silent-movie sensation The Artist, straight from its triumph at the recent Bafta Awards. He also looks at three rather more business-as-usual releases - The Vow, starring Rachel McAdams, Safe House, starring Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds, and the latest Star Wars film to be re-released in 3D - The Phantom Menace.
