Bel Canto and Shirley

Bel Canto stars Julianne Moore (miming) as an opera diva, taken hostage by a group of Latin American rebels. Directed by Paul Weitz (About a boy) it also features Ken Watanabe (Godzilla) and Sebastian Koch (The lives of others). Shirley is a fictional story about real-life horror writer Shirley Jackson. Struggling with writer’s block, she uses a young couple to inspire a new novel. Stars Elisabeth Moss (The Handmaid’s Tale).
