AT THE MOVIES #675 – ACCOUNTING FOR TASTE

Simon Morris looks at three films that aim at three rather different tastes…

Kong: Skull Island revives the old Japanese monster movie version of the story.  Starring Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larsen, John Goodman and Samuel L Jackson.

A street cat named Bob is based on James Bowen’s best-selling memoir of life on the London streets.  Starring Luke Treadaway, Joanne Froggatt and Bob the Cat.

And the critically-acclaimed French film The Innocents tells the story of a group of Polish nuns after they were raped by the “liberating army” at the end of World War Two.
