The Brazil Question - Luiz Uehara

A Dunedin-based football coach has discovered what makes Brazil so good at the game. it is, he says, all about happiness and style. Given the coach in question is born in Brazil, you might think there's a degree of bias in his analysis. His name is Luiz Uehara, a PHD student and a researcher at the University of Otago. Luiz says the dance form samba, and the martial art of capoeira, have both influenced Brazilian football. Naturally he hopes the flamboyant style will help the country secure its sixth world cup title.
