Thousands of high school students and their families have descended on Lake Ruataniwha near Twizel this week for the Secondary School rowing championships This year's Maadi Cup is the biggest in the regatta's 67 year history, with 125 schools competing. Former Olympic gold medalist Dudley Storey has been going to the regatta since 1955.
