The former Progressives leader Jim Anderton has withdrawn his help for Labour in this year's election campaign. Some commentators may characterise this as the first casualty of Matt McCarten's appointment as Labour Party Chief of Staff. Yordan Militch says it was a 'dumb mistake', claiming to be a former SAS soldier. He is a builder by trade. He bought medals off Trade Me, pinned them to his chest - and told elaborate tales about life as an SAS soldier to young people. Have we gone too far in the courts with the current emphasis on contrition and psychological evaluation?
