Bat Invasion

Thousands of flying fox bats have made their home in a park in a town in northern Queensland, Australia. Residents say the noise and stench from the 80,000 mammals is unbearable, and makes using the park and the local swimming pool highly unattractive. It is not the first time the bat colony has come to Charters Towers, near Townsville, but this time the local council is throwing everything at them.
