The Panel with Rosemary McLeod and Ellen Read (Part 2)

From Afternoons with Jesse Mulligan, 4:30 pm on 17 October 2013

Topics - A community-led clean up of the waterways around Nelson and Richmond has removed 600 abandoned tyres from the Waimea Estuary alone. A local man, Malcolm Saunders, took his clean up idea to the Tasman District Council, which has now funded the cost of resource consent for the project. The well-known American columnist Emily Yoffe, writing in Slate magazine, asks if sensitivities prevent us from talking frankly about rape. And the question she's asking is "Why don't we tell young women to stop getting so wasted?"
