Anniversary of a Taranaki tragedy

One hundred years ago today, August 14 1913, a prominent Taranaki farmer, his daughter and their carriage driver were attacked and brutally murdered in a crime known in the district as the Kaimata Tragedy. New Plymouth businessman Bryce Barnett is the descendant of one of the survivors of the attack.
