Naomi Arnold: American writing award

A "warts and all" true story about life has clinched a major American writing award over the weekend for a New Zealand journalist. Naomi Arnold who writes for the Nelson Mail, attended the three-day Mayborn Literary Nonfiction Conference in Dallas, Texas over the weekend and her essay about the trials and tribulations of mother and daugther won the top prize for a personal essay competition.
