Your Place - Te Karaka

A small Eastland community, 32 kilometres inland from Gisborne. This is the largest settlement you'll encounter on State Highway 2 as you travel between Poverty Bay and the Bay of Plenty. There are 174 occupied dwellings and most of the population, about 78 percent, are of Maori or Pacific Island ethnicity.
