Your Place - Tuakau

The town of Tuakau is 56 kilometres south of Auckland's city centre, and 83 north of Hamilton. In 1914 it became a town district, and was awarded borough status in 1955. With the local body boundary changes in 1989 it became part of the Franklin District, but with the creation of the super city, Tuakau now finds itself part of the mighty Waikato.
