Your Place - Dipton

A township of fewer than 200 people straddling the Oreti River, 20 kilometres south of Lumsden and 60 kilometres north of Invercargill. A recent resurgence of dairy farming in Southland has revived local spirits, and Dipton is seen as a shining example of the community spirit common in many small New Zealand towns.
