Ecuador has granted asylum to Wikileaks founder Julian Assange two months after he took refuge in its London embassy while fighting extradition from the UK. Opposition MPs are reported to be furious at the National MP Maggie Barry, whose cross-party parliamentary group they accuse of being created solely to kill off a Labour MP's bill to legalise assisted suicide.
