Nearly 50 years ago a Wellington couple began collecting art, when they could afford it. Over the decades they accumulated what is now the country's largest private collection including work by Ralph Hotere and Colin McCahon, among other famous artists. But about half the collection is going under the hammer next month, as Milly Paris moves to Sydney to be closer to family.
