Your Place - Piopio

Piopio, approximately half way between Hamilton and New Plymouth on State Highway 3, is the tiny township we are visiting today. It's an ideal place to break your journey and there are plenty of local attractions if you want to stop and linger a while: The Mokau River and its tributaries, several waterfalls, amazing limestone bluffs and rain forests, all accessible of foot, or on short pleasant walks.
