Cave Creek Survivor

In April 1995, Stephen Hannen was one of 18 people standing on the Cave Creek viewing platform that gave way, and saw them plunge 30 metres into a chasm on the West Coast. 14 people died. Stephen, who was 19 years old, was paralysed and spent a year at Burwood Hospital in Christchurch. Now Stephen's a mentor with Big Brothers, Big Sisters.
