The rise and fall of fish n chips

A writer, dismayed at the loss of our Friday night fish 'n' chips tradition, is writing a book on the history of the combination. Te Awhina Arahanga has been selected for the Maori writer's residency at the Michael King Writer's Centre, where she'll research the rise and demise of fish 'n' chips in New Zealand and write short stories about a Maori girl growing up in the seventies.
