A pilot who broke the world record for flying around the globe west-bound, in a single-engine piston plane, is in New Zealand, partway through another adventure. Just over three years ago, CarolAnn Garratt and her co-pilot Carol Fay shattered the 1988 world record by circling the globe in just eight and a half days.
