When you see photos of Antarctica the ice looks white and pretty sterile, but surprisingly, the sea ice that covers the ocean around Antarctica each winter teems with life. Alison Ballance visited a summer research camp in Antarctica, where Victoria University's Ken Ryan explained why sea ice is the frozen continent's equivalent of a sheep farm.
