Our Changing World - Sleeping Brain

We spend a third of our lives simply sleeping, but why do we do it? University of Waikato physicists Moira and Alistair Steyn-Ross and their colleague Marcus Wilson study sleep with the help of a brain model, initially developed to describe the enforced slumber brought on by anaesthetic drugs. As they tell Veronika Meduna, the better we sleep the more we remember.
