Tune Your Engine - Macular degeneration

Macular degeneration is an eye disorder that damages the centre of the retina. It is the leading cause of blindness among over 50's in New Zealand. A new study just out in the US however, has found that women who who ate just one serving of fish per week were far less likely to develop macular degeneration, than those who did not. It's the omega 3 fatty acids that play a crucial role here. Dr William G Christen, associate professor at Harvard Medical School, explains why.
